WORKSHOP:  HOW TO BECOME A SUCCESSFUL AUTHOR OF SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES

ABSTRACT:  Writing and publishing scientific articles can be a time-consuming and intimidating task. Would you like to learn ways to make this task easier and quicker?  This workshop will provide you with powerful techniques for becoming an efficient and prolific scientific writer, based on a methodology called "fast-article writing" developed by Dr. Mikhailova.  In addition to learning this approach to writing, you will examine a number of articles that illustrate the techniques.  At the completion of the workshop, you will be able to organize your scientific research using the "fast-article" approach, identify the different types of articles you can produce, and implement this methodology with collaborators and students. You will leave with a workshop manual, a copy of the slide presentation, and other instructional materials.
You are welcome (but not required) to bring a current writing project with you on disk or to save it to your U drive to access during the workshop.
